Community Resource Centers

Community Resource Centers (CRCs) support customers during a Public Safety Power Shutoff or longer outage.

We open drop-in Community Resource Centers during the day in counties impacted by a PSPS or longer outage. View the Community Resource Center video.

  • All centers provide an ADA-accessible restroom and hand-washing station, medical equipment charging, device charging, Wi-Fi, bottled water and snacks.
  • Indoor centers also offer air-conditioning or heating, seating and ice.
  • Electric vehicle charging is not available at the centers. Find an EV charging station.
  • If you need power when CRCs are closed, view the outage map to see which areas have power.
  • Learn more about support and services.

Do you rely on power to operate life-sustaining medical devices? Further support may be available in your area during a PSPS or longer outage. Please contact your local Independent Living Center.

Find participating Independent Living Centers (ILCs).

PG&E is now partnered with organizations that can provide accessible transportation to individuals with access and functional needs to and from a PG&E Community Resource Center.

  • Vivalon (San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Solano, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Amador, Calaveras, and Tuolumne Counties): 415-847-1157
  • Dignity Health Connected Living (Shasta County): 530-226-3074, ext. 4
  • El Dorado Transit (El Dorado County): 530-642-5383, select option 4
  • Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission (Fresno County): 1-800-325-7433

Alternatively, you can use these services:

  • Call 211, a confidential, 24 hours a day, seven days a week service that can connect you to local transportation resources.
  • Disability Disaster Access and Resource Program can provide accessible transportation through participating Independent Living Centers (ILCs).
  • Google Maps can display public transportation routes to CRCs.

To keep our customers and communities safe, all resource centers reflect appropriate COVID-19 health considerations and federal, state, and county guidelines.

  • Facial coverings and physical distancing are encouraged but not required.
  • Supplies are given out to visitors so they can “grab and go,” but they are welcome to stay on-site and charge their devices.
  • In instances of high demand, medical device charging is prioritized.
  • Surfaces are regularly sanitized.
  • For the health and safety of the community, we ask customers not to visit a center if they are exhibiting any symptoms of illness.

Electric vehicle charging is not available at the centers. Find an EV charging station.

NOTE: Community Resource Center updates are made on this page and appear on the outage map up to 15 minutes later.
